No electronics in the measurement zone‍

Moisture resistance is achieved by removing semiconductor elements from the measurement zone. Paired high-accuracy sensors enable the measurement and detection of the dew point without additional calibration after each cycle.

Thermal insulation and heat storage

The probe with an integrated heat storage removes the influence of drift and the temperature of the measurement cable, so both sensors respond stably and simultaneously even during rapid temperature changes. The measurement probe is completely insulated from the mounting mechanism, thereby breaking thermal bridges.

Forced aspiration

The built-in industrial fan provides a constant, laminar airflow over the probes. The fan's position was chosen so that the engine's heat does not affect the sensing element, keeping the temperature difference stable.

Tool-free maintenance

The open design allows for visual inspection, reservoir refilling, and cotton wick replacement without tools and without disassembling the device. Only distilled water is used—minerals from regular water deposit on the wick and stop evaporation.

Rotating stand

The unit is mounted on a rotating stand, so it can be easily moved when applying compost and cleaning the room, without the risk of damage.

Dry wick detection

Thanks to the probe's thermal stability, the system detects a dry wick software-wise, without a mechanical float. A reading of 101% or 102% relative humidity is not an electronics error but a confirmation that the wick is dry and the water level should be checked.

Connection to the system

PSY1 connects directly to the MADS interface or the MYCO controller and provides the data based on which the LDS-4P algorithm regulates the humidity in the chamber.
